The Aura Boyne Swim
Is this the year you want to tackle an open water swim? If so the majestic 2.7km route along the historic River Boyne in Drogheda is for you. According to Irish mythology, the goddess Boann created the River Boyne and legend has it that all those who swim in its waters will look eternally youthful. We can’t guarantee those results, but research does prove open water swimming significantly improves circulation, which reaps all sorts of benefits for your skin.
If you’re new to open water swimming, check out the training programme put together by the swim coaching teams at Aura Leisure. The programme is free to download here.
Taking place on 16 June. Registration costs €30 and can be completed here
