Deliveroo Brings Healthy Food For Thought At WellFest

Visitors will be able to use health-tech monitoring devices to analyze key health metrics for their mind, heart and respiratory systems giving them a greater understanding of their personal health and linking to how smart everyday choices with food can benefit their overall health.

The Food For Thought Pod is being launched as Deliveroo reveals that healthy food delivery orders have almost doubled in the last year across the country. Deliveroo Ireland has seen a 47% increase in healthy food orders, with Dublin taking the crown as Ireland’s biggest lover of healthy food, followed by Galway then Cork.

Visitors to WellFest will be invited to undertake several meditative activities that provide real-time feedback on your body’s brain, heart, breathing and movement. What’s even better? Everyone taking part will be given free food, from some of Deliveroo’s amazing healthy food partners.

Mind Meditation : Each participant will be given a personalized benchmark of focus to reach, by using visitors will be able to have their brain activity monitored and through audio techniques, guests will be able to reduce anxiety, lower stress and even sleep better.

Heart Mediation : During the session guests will be able to hear back their own heartbeat through an immersive soundscape. The activity will enable people syncronize to their own heartbeat empowering them to find stillness and calm.

Breath Meditation : Guests can also learn how to pace their own breath in the Food For Thought Pod, giving them guiding tones, similar to ambient music promoting a greater synchronizing between your body and heartbeat.

Body Mediation : This section uses ancient wind chime techniques to highlight visitors to their own movement, helping to promote a great sense of body awareness.
