Susan is one of the founders of Mandala Yoga Dublin.She has been practicing yoga for over 12 years and teaching since 2013. She has taught in the US and Asia and loves to travel, teach and practice a range of yoga styles.
‘‘For me yoga began as a simple ‘stretch + sweat’ endeavour, an effort to open teflon-tight, marathon-running hamstrings. Little did I realise back then how much yoga would, over time, stretch my mind, my body and my world view, in so many weird and wonderful ways.
The strength and flexibility I have built in my physical body is nothing compared to the mental and emotional strength, courage and flexibility I have gained and continue to receive from my practice’’.
A lifelong learner, Susan is certified to teach Bikram, Vinyasa Flowand Yinyoga, mindfulnessand an empowering Kundalini-inspired sequence called Envision Yoga. She is also a qualified massage therapist and poetry lover. She likes to weave together these different styles and traditions to create intelligent flows in carefully themed, thoughtful classes. Her classes encourage students to use yoga as a mirror and a tool to create awareness of what’s going on for them physically, emotionally, mentally and energetically.
”Having started out as a ‘hot yoga junkie’ these last few years I have found myself increasingly drawn ‘yinside’and really enjoy that more contemplative, meditative side of my practice.
