‘Challenges are gifts that force us to search for a new Centre of gravity. Don’t fight them. Just find a new way to stand’ I love this quote by Oprah Winfrey…it reminds me a lot of the physical and mental aspects of yoga asana. The figuring out where everything is and finding centre, balance & the right mix of effort & ease. Each pose challenges us to find a new way to find our centre of gravity & that’s really informative & insightful. From insight, realization is born. Loved this shoot with the amazing @wellfestirl @kbcbankireland crew. Thanks for the challenge & the support. Finding centre with a camera crew is definitely a challenge but a lot of fun too! Can’t wait to share this content with you guys 😊 . . . #yoga #asana #lunge #low #lift #high #sutra #effort #ease #balance #centre #gravity #yogapose #yogapractice #learn #yogalove #create #shape #form #structure #challenge #yogaeveryday #yogalife #wellgood #wellfest #kbcwellgood #lululemon #ambassador #2018

Beginners Handstand More Chalk Style @ Physical Culture

A handstand practice starts with drills and alignment, so this weekend join Ornagh of More Chalk for a look at handstands for beginners.

Don’t worry if you have never kicked up to a handstand before. This workshop will begin at the basics and progress with your own personal level.

Start on the ground with wrist warm-ups and shoulder mobilising exercises. Before moving on to correct body positioning and core activation drills. All movements will be taught with hands on spotting  so you will feel safe and everyone will get some air time.

Ornagh is also running a splits workshop on the same day and there are limited add on tickets available.

Saturday, 1 December from 11.30am – 1.30pm @ Physical Culture, Sandyford. Tickets are priced from €32.88 and are available here

Yoga for Men Workshop in aid of Pieta House @ YogHub Camden

Why are so many men in Ireland killing themselves? It’s a hard question to ask and an even harder one to answer. Suicide awareness and prevention should be a regular topic of conversation until we can learn how to heal ourselves.

One of the best ways to start this conversation is to come together as men and embark on a journey of self discovery through the practice of yoga. While this workshop will offer some physical challenges, it will also allow personal expansion to recognise our strength as men. Through self-study and mindful movement, a man can recalibrate his priorities, his relationships, and his well-being.

The event will include a relatively strong physical practice (with modifications), a brief lecture, discussion, and breathing techniques.

Sunday, 2 December. Attendance is donation based, and you can book your place here
