Aromatherapy for Stress Relief with Katie Dowling @ YogaHub Swords

Now is the perfect time to practice stress management leading up to Christmas. Join Katie, an aromatherapist, reflexologist and intuitive massage therapist for an informative workshop on essential oils for managing stress.
Katie will explain the basics of essential oils and how they can be used. You will be introduced to her favorite and most effective oils that can help alleviate fatigue, anxiety, nausea, and low mood- all as a result of high-stress levels.
During this workshop you will get to experience the power of essential oils and how quickly they can work as we do a mini hand massage using a beautiful oil blend provided.
If you are interested in essential oils and looking for a relaxed but informative introduction, this is the perfect workshop for you.

Balancing the Yin & Yang in your practice @ Little Bird

As winter sets in and the days are getting shorter it is a lovely time to reconnect with your practice, your body and yourself. This Yang/Yin practice is about finding balance and reconnection. Opening into the body and finding that deep sense of stillness that is within us all. Dearbhla will lead a slow vinyasa (Yang) practice focusing on developing strength and flexibility. While moving mindfully with the breath through varying asanas. You will hold poses for a little longer to strengthen and also awaken the muscles.

For the second part of the workshop, you will move towards a Yin practice. Focussing on floor poses that target the deep layers of connective tissue to allow the body and the joints to open up in a different way. There will be an emphasis on hips openers. You will enjoy some long-held forward folds, eventually closing the practice with some calming restorative poses before moving towards our final savasana. The overall practice will help find balance and a sense of grounding and profound calm.

Saturday, 30 December from 3pm – 5.30pm. Tickets are priced at €35 and are available here
