Fabulous Pharmacist -

Laura Dowling

Laura Dowling is the founder, CEO and Chief Scientist for fabÜ. Trinity educated, Laura is a  qualified pharmacist and scientist, having graduated in 2002. While studying at Trinity, Laura  specialised in Pharmacognosy (the study of plants, herbs and mushrooms).

Since graduating, Laura has spent the past twenty years working in a community pharmacy  where she has always aimed to put the customer first. Her dedication to the role was recently  recognised, when Laura was awarded the prestigious 2022 Pharmacist Of The Year Award.

While working as a community pharmacist, Laura experienced first-hand the confusion  amongst consumers when it came to nutritional supplements and the vast range available.  Laura was inspired to simplify and improve the offering. With her specialisation in  Pharmacognosy, Laura has devoted the last five years to formulating and developing her own  unique range of nutritional supplements. Each individual formulation combines just six to eight  powerful key ingredients, tailored specifically to a person’s wellbeing needs. The fabÜ range of  nutritional supplements is inspired by her fascination with the wonderful powers of plants,  herbs, and mushrooms from across the world - and how nature and science can be tailored to  work together in harmony.

Laura is on a mission to optimise wellness by educating and empowering people to achieve  sustainable, healthy lifestyles.

Online Laura is known as “The Fabulous Pharmacist”, where her Instagram channel is dedicated  to sharing relatable and passionate advice about health, family, self-care and wellbeing. Using  her online platform, Laura aims to give her 53k+ followers the tools to live a balanced,  sustainable, and healthy lifestyle without resorting to short-term crazes or fads. Whether  talking about skin concerns, constipation, female incontinence or mental health, Laura aims to educate her followers and shine a light on topics that other public figures often tend to shy  away from.

In addition to her social media presence, Laura is a frequent contributor to Irish media and can  be regularly seen on TV and in print as well as heard on radio.

Away from the lab, Laura is a busy mum of three boys living in Dublin. She enjoys cooking,  practicing yoga, running with her dog, a boxer called Carlo, and early morning swims.
