That’s right WellFesters! The second wave of presenters has finally been announced and we have some incredible names in the lineup this year!
Blindboy will be making an appearance on Sunday 7th May, which we are super excited about! For anyone who might not be familiar with Blindboy, he is a longtime mental health activist and has always used his platform to speak about his own struggles with anxiety and depression. He uses his podcast ‘The blindboy podcast’ to investigate theories of psychotherapy such as CBT, and Transactional analysis, and how to apply them in a simple way to our own lives.
Kimberley Wilson (better known as @FoodAndPsych to her followers) will be there on Sunday too, sharing her philosophy of Whole Body Mental Health. This is a comprehensive approach to mental health care; integrating evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle factors with psychological therapy.
Cognikids is sure to be a huge source of excitement for any parents of young children attending. Ollwyn will be there on the Saturday, and for anyone who doesn’t know, her passion is in demystifying milestones and promoting and supporting healthy development, giving parents insights into their child's development so they can fully understand and support their child in the right way at the right times, thus reducing frustration and confusion.
Dublin Native Nico Reynolds will be at WellFood on the Sunday. If we were to describe what Nico does in one sentence, it would be: "Caribbean cooking with Latin influences via Ireland". Nico has an incredible culinary history and you might recognise him from various TV shows where he brings his wonderful recipes to life, such as the Today Show and Ireland AM.
Dr. Anita Mitra, also known as ‘The Gynae Geek’ will be sharing her vast knowledge on Sunday. For anyone who hasn’t had the pleasure of following her, she is an NHS doctor specialising in Obstetrics & Gynaecology who has been described as ‘A trusted source of knowledge in an era of self-proclaimed gurus & internet-experts’.
Fiona Uyema is one not to be missed for any foodies coming on Sunday! After years of living and travelling in Asia, Fiona returned home to Ireland on a mission to share the fresh flavours of the Far East. Since 2014, Fiona has delivered cooking demos & talks worldwide and has published cookbooks including ‘Japanese Food Made Easy’ and ‘Fused: a range of healthy Asian cooking essentials’.
