Presenter Spotlight: Em The Nutritionist - Here’s Everything You Need To Know!

Sunday Times Best-Selling cook book author, Founder of Epetōme and social media sensation Emily English will be cooking up a storm at WellFood on Sunday 11th May.

With a BSc in Nutrition from Kings college London, driven by a love of food, Emily’s ethos is to marry the science of nutrition with the joy of eating. The mission statement on her website reads; “THE FOOD YOU WANT TO EAT, DESIGNED BY A NUTRITIONIST” - Now if that doesn’t sound like the best of both worlds, we don’t know what does!!

Emily’s Backstory

Emily is a BSc Nutritionist with a degree from the prestigious Kings College London, ranked number 1 in the UK for nutritional sciences, where she discovered the true depth of the subject. Using her knowledge of both cooking food, nutrition and human physiology, she aims to normalise nutrition, making healthy eating accessible to all.

Driven by a love of food, her ethos is to marry the science of nutrition with the joy of eating. Spending her childhood summers in her granny’s restaurant kitchen, and her school terms in the chemistry lab, Emily’s curiosity grew for what was on her plate and what was happening inside our bodies.

It wasn't until her relationship with food suffered after a period in the modelling industry that she decided to continue her academic journey at university to study nutrition. Using her knowledge of nutrition and her love of food, Emily has taken social media by storm, creating delicious and balanced recipes. She is a no. 1 Sunday Times Bestselling author and the founder of Epetōme.

Epetōme

One clear thing that Emily noticed during her time at university was the growing interest in the importance of gut health and our microbiome.

Emily explains that there is an evident rise in people experiencing digestive discomfort, dysregulation, food sensitivities, gut-associated mood disorders and even metabolic issues. Because our gut is so interconnected with our body, it became clear to her that this area of our health needed attention.

“That's why I started Epetōme”, says Emily; “Our aim is to bring clarity to the complex world of gut health. We're not just creating digestive supplements; we want to help you build sustainable habits and daily routines to support and nourish your microbiome. Just once a day, every day. Carefully formulated to support your unique digestive health, including FOS fibre, vitamin D and zinc alongside active bacteria”.

"‘So Good’ - Sunday Times Bestseller

Emily English’s debut cookbook, So Good, is more than just a collection of recipes—it's a celebration of food that nourishes both the body and soul. Guided by her expertise as a nutritionist and her passion as a foodie, Emily has curated a cookbook designed to inspire everyone, from seasoned home chefs to kitchen novices. It’s no surprise it was a number 1 Sunday times best seller and charted for 13 weeks.

As Emily puts it: “This book is for anyone who wants to feel excited about eating well—without the stress or diet culture rules.”

So Good has received praise from food critics, wellness experts, and everyday readers for its accessible tone, vibrant recipes, and the warmth Emily brings to every page. Whether you’re looking to cook hearty mains, refreshing sides, or indulgent desserts, So Good offers something for everyone.
